National Library Week Is Coming

Celebrate freedom of information and life-long learning during National Library Week from April 9-15! This year’s theme is “Libraries Transform” – and April 11th is National Library Workers’ Day, so come in and see us!

This year, we invite students to participate by decorating these butterflies for display:

Write your favorite thing about the Scott Community College Library (or libraries in general) on your butterfly, or just color one for funsies!

We’ve already seen some very impressive and creative work. Check out our book on butterflies and moths if you need some inspiration.

The whole month of April is actually School Library Month, but because there’s so much going on this month – including our traditional Peep® display and a surprise installation by the art department – we’re sticking with the week. You can still celebrate school libraries, however, with your butterfly design. The theme for 2017 is “Because School Libraries Empower Students” with the hashtag #slm17.

Support your school library and show off your creativity. Stop into the Belmont campus library today!
